My first bookshop order

Owner Orlagh Kelly of The Reading Room bookshop in Carrick-on-Shannon placed an order today – the first of many, I hope. I feel it’s a real red-letter day (literally!) because I’ve been finding it tough to get my new adventure tale into bookshops. Most of them – even the independent ones – won’t deal with a new publisher. But the delightful Orlagh had no such reservations, thankfully. So off went a parcel of signed books, postcards and bookmarks to my old Leitrim Observer reporting stomping ground. Fond memories indeed. PS Orlagh says my magic story is selling well. If you can, please go into your local bookshop and ask for The Red-Letter Day – if there are enough queries the owners might just decide to stock it! People power and all that…
