A Rising 1916 play… and here’s the proof

These four fine actors, helped by brilliant stage manager, props man and sound-effects whizz James O’Keeffe, put on a fantastic show at the world premiere of 1916: The Red Letter Play in Naomh Barrog GAA Club last Saturday. Take a bow, everyone – including Club manager Gary McCormack and team, who were so helpful at every – ahem! – stage… The Oscar for Best Photographer goes to Paul O’Rourke – a good friend and a talented screenwriter, thanks so much, Paul. We couldn’t manage a red carpet for the Oscars ceremony at the end, but you might just spot the ‘Red Circle’ in the collage of photos… Hope to see you for the encore again soon.
